The afternoon sun bathed the manicured lawns of the Vance estate in a warm, golden glow. It was supposed to be the happiest day of George Vance’s life. Surrounded by the city's elite, he sat at the head of a lavishly decorated banquet table, toasted by friends and business associates. Next to him sat Vivienne, his stunning new bride, radiating elegance in an emerald green silk dress that perfectly matched her eyes. But the serene atmosphere shattered in an instant when the heavy iron gates of the garden burst open.

A young boy, no older than ten, came sprinting across the lawn. He was disheveled, his shaggy red hair matted with dirt, and his clothes torn. Before the security guards could react, the boy lunged toward the head table, his finger pointing tremblingly at George’s plate.

"Don't eat that! She put something in the food!" the boy screamed, his voice cracking with desperation.

A collective gasp rippled through the high-society crowd. Vivienne’s face went pale for a fleeting second before twisting into a mask of cold fury. She stood up, her chair scraping harshly against the stone patio.

"Security, get that kid out of here!" Vivienne commanded, her voice sharp enough to cut glass. "He’s trespassing!"

Thomas, George’s trusted head of security and a former detective, stepped forward. He intercepted the boy, but instead of dragging him away, he paused as the child frantically whispered into his ear. George watched in confusion as Thomas’s expression shifted from professional detachment to grim realization. Thomas walked over to George, leaning down.

"Sir, the boy is telling the truth," Thomas whispered.

Vivienne’s eyes widened in panic. Sensing the shift, the young boy, Sam, pointed directly at the designer leather handbag resting beside Vivienne's plate.

"There's a photo in her purse of the man she did this for!" Sam yelled.

As George reached for the purse, Vivienne lunged for it, screaming,

"No! Don't open it!"

But George’s grip was firm. He pulled the purse away, staring at his new wife as if looking at a stranger.
