Information we collect
You do not need an account to read our stories, and we never ask you for personal information to do so. Like every website, our servers automatically receive standard technical data — your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the page that referred you — which we use in aggregate to run and secure the site. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes this technical data on our behalf.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which stories readers enjoy and how the site is used. This measurement is aggregated and does not identify individual readers. You can learn how Google uses data from partner sites at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Advertising
This site is free to read because it is supported by advertising. Ads are delivered by third-party advertising partners, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — where you have consented — to personalise them based on your visits to this and other websites:
- HB Agency (Header Bidding Agency), our advertising partner, and the demand partners it works with through header bidding and Google Ad Manager;
- Google (Ad Manager / AdSense), which may serve ads and uses cookies such as the DoubleClick cookie to do so;

Consent

Local storage
We may use your browser's local storage to remember your reading position in a story and your consent choices. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data concerning you, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. We answer within one month.
Retention and security
Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes and then deleted; analytics data is kept in aggregated form. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) on every page.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
