Drama Stories

Editorial Policy

This page explains how the stories on Drama Stories are written, reviewed and corrected, and the rules our editors follow.

1. Fiction, clearly labelled

Everything we publish is short fiction written for entertainment. Names, characters, businesses, places, events and images are invented or used in an illustrative way; any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or to real events is coincidental. We remind readers of this on every page of the site.

2. Original work

Our stories are created by our own team. They start as ideas and scripts for our short video productions and are developed into complete three-part stories. We do not copy or rewrite stories from other publications, and we do not publish user-submitted texts without editing and attribution.

3. How a story is written

Our writers use modern writing tools, including AI-assisted drafting, to help produce first drafts from our scripts. Every draft is then read, edited and approved by a human editor who checks the structure of the story, the quality of the language and the respect of these rules. No story is published without that review. The editor responsible is named on each story.

4. Images

The images that illustrate a story are stills taken from the video production the story is based on. They show actors and staged scenes, not real events.

5. Respect

We do not publish content that targets real, identifiable people, that promotes hatred or violence against any group, or that is intended to mislead. Our stories may deal with difficult themes — betrayal, grief, injustice — because that is what drama is made of, but they are written for a general audience.

6. Corrections and removals

If you believe a story contains an error, infringes a right or resembles a real person or event in a way that causes harm, write to [email protected] with the link to the story. We review every request and correct or remove content within a few business days when the request is justified.

7. Advertising

The site is financed by advertising, delivered by partners named in our privacy policy. Advertisements are clearly identified as such and never influence which stories we publish or how they end.

8. Who is responsible

The editorial line is set by Clara Weller, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, who can be reached at [email protected]. Learn more about us.
