A Shocking Encounter

Arthur Pendelton was a man who had everything, until a fateful rainy night five years ago stripped him of his mobility. Confined to a sleek, high-tech wheelchair, the former real estate mogul had grown cynical, viewing the world through a lens of bitter skepticism. His only constants were his beautiful wife, Evelyn, and his dedicated personal physician, Dr. Vance, who administered daily injections to manage his condition. On a cold Tuesday evening, Arthur and Evelyn sat at their usual corner table in the city's most prestigious restaurant, surrounded by the quiet hum of wealthy diners and clinking crystal.

The peaceful atmosphere was suddenly shattered when a young boy slipped past the front desk. He was no older than ten, his face smudged with dust and his clothes tattered and worn. As security rushed to intercept the intruder, the boy bypassed them, stepping directly up to Arthur’s table. Arthur raised a hand to halt the guards, intrigued by the boy's piercing, intense gaze.

"What do you want, boy?"
Arthur asked, his voice dripping with skepticism.

The boy, Leo, looked at Arthur’s useless legs and then met his eyes.

"Sir, can I heal your legs?"
he asked earnestly. Arthur let out an incredulous chuckle, gesturing grandly to the patrons around them.
"You? If you make me walk, I'll give you a million dollars,"
he sneered, confident in the impossibility of the claim. But Leo didn't hesitate. He stepped closer and placed his small, warm hands onto Arthur's knees. Arthur muttered,
"This is ridiculous,"
but Leo simply looked up and whispered,
"Trust me."
Within seconds, a violent jolt of heat surged through Arthur's spine, causing his eyes to widen in sheer shock.
"What did you do to me?"
he gasped in disbelief.

"What did you do to me?" he gasped in disbelief.
