My Bully Mocked My Broken Leg but Her Boyfriend Recognized My Dropped Necklace
The weekend crowd at the Oakridge Galleria was a blur of noise and color, but for twenty-five-year-old Olivia, it was an obstacle course. Clad in a cozy green knit sweater and balancing precariously on crutches due to a recent accident, she navigated the polished tile floor beneath the towering glass skylights. Her hands were slick with sweat, and her shoulders ached, but she was determined to complete her errands. Suddenly, her left crutch caught on a slick patch of floor. With a gasp, Olivia lost her footing and tumbled hard to the ground, her single shopping bag bursting open and spilling its contents across the walkway.
A Cruel Confrontation
As Olivia lay there, clutching her throbbing leg in pain, she hoped for a helping hand. Instead, a shadow fell over her, accompanied by a sharp, mocking sneer. Standing over her was Victoria, a striking but cold thirty-two-year-old platinum blonde woman wearing a tight black midi dress that screamed wealth and arrogance.

"Watch where you're dragging yourself," Victoria scoffed, looking down at Olivia with utter disgust. "Some of us actually have important places to be."
Tears stung Olivia’s eyes as she scrambled to gather her spilled belongings. But before Victoria could walk away, a man rushed out from the crowd. It was Marcus, a rugged twenty-seven-year-old dirty blonde man in a black denim jacket. He knelt down beside Olivia, his expression filled with genuine concern.
"Are you okay? Let me help you," Marcus said gently, ignoring Victoria’s irritated sigh.
"And who are you supposed to be?" Victoria snapped, crossing her arms. "The mall savior?"
Marcus didn't reply. His hands swept across the floor, gathering Olivia's items, until his fingers brushed against a thin gold chain. He picked it up, and as his eyes locked onto the small engraved pendant, his face turned deathly pale. "No..." he whispered, his voice trembling. Slowly, he pulled back his sleeve to reveal a faded tattoo on his wrist that read "DANY". Olivia looked up, her breath catching in her throat as she stared at the tattoo and then into his eyes. "Daniel?" she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion.
