Previously: When Leo is suddenly disqualified from a prestigious science fair, his mother and a fierce mentor step in to expose a bitter judge's personal vendetta and save his future.

Helen, a renowned physics professor and Leo’s mentor, stood toe-to-toe with the chief judge. Arthur’s eyes flickered with a brief moment of panic before he quickly masked it with a scowl. "This is administrative business, Helen. Step back," he muttered, attempting to maintain his authority in front of the gathering crowd of onlookers.

The Secret From the Past

"I will not step back, Arthur," Helen said, her voice carrying across the quieted aisle. "I know exactly why you are trying to disqualify this boy. It has nothing to do with rules, and everything to do with your own cowardice."

She opened the folder, pulling out yellowed, original blueprint documents and holding them up for the crowd to see. Sarah stared at the papers, recognizing her late father’s precise, elegant handwriting and signature at the bottom of the sheets.

"Thirty years ago, you stole a groundbreaking energy patent from Leo's late grandfather, Richard," Helen announced boldly. "You built your entire career on his stolen research. And today, you realized that Leo's project is the brilliant completion of his grandfather’s unfinished work."

A collective gasp rippled through the onlookers. Arthur’s face flushed a deep, angry crimson. "That is an outrageous lie! This is slander!" he bellowed, his professional facade completely crumbling.

"Is it?" Helen countered, pointing to the schematics. "Leo’s design uses the exact unique resonance frequencies that Richard patented before he mysteriously lost his funding—funding that your shell corporation miraculously acquired the very next month."

Arthur gripped his clipboard so tightly his knuckles turned white. Desperate to regain control, he turned to the security guards standing near the entrance. "Get these people out of here! They are disrupting the fair!" he screamed. But the guards hesitated, looking up toward the balcony where the senior board of directors was now watching the scene unfold with grim, disapproving expressions.
