Previously: When Clara was cruelly kicked out of an upscale bridal salon for her disheveled appearance, the store manager had no idea about Clara's true identity—or the secret behind the dress.

A Power Shift on the Sidewalk

Clara stumbled backward, humiliated and sobbing, as Victoria's cruel words echoed down the street. The laughter of the wealthy women inside the boutique felt like physical blows. Clara turned to run, ready to hide her shame in her cramped basement apartment. But before she could take a single step, the deep purr of a luxury engine drew the attention of everyone on the block. A sleek, black limousine pulled up smoothly to the curb right in front of the salon.

The chauffeur quickly stepped out and opened the passenger door. An elegant, elderly man with a commanding presence stepped onto the sidewalk. It was Arthur Sterling, one of the city's most prominent real estate tycoons. Victoria's eyes widened in recognition, and her sneer instantly melted into a sycophantic smile. She smoothed down her blazer, preparing to welcome a billionaire client.

However, Arthur did not even look at Victoria. His eyes locked onto Clara's tear-stained face. Shock and deep concern washed over his features. He rushed past Victoria and gently caught Clara by the shoulders.

"Clara? My dear, what on earth has happened?" Arthur asked, his voice filled with genuine warmth.

Clara wiped her eyes, trembling. She pointed a shaking finger at Victoria, who was now standing frozen in utter disbelief.

"She... she told me I didn't belong here," Clara whispered. "She wouldn't let me look at my mother's dress."

A dark, dangerous fury settled over Arthur's face. Decades ago, Clara's late mother had saved Arthur's struggling business with a generous investment, and he had promised to always protect her family. He turned to Victoria, his eyes cold as ice.

Victoria stammered, her face turning pale.

"Mr. Sterling! There must be a misunderstanding! This... this woman is a vagrant. She was harassing my clients!"
"This woman," Arthur interrupted, his voice booming with authority, "is the daughter of the woman who designed that very gown you claim as your own. And she is about to become your boss."

And she is about to become your boss."
