A Bully Poured Liquid on My Head, But My Dog Tag Instantly Froze His Smile
Previously: When a cocky soldier decided to publicly humiliate Amber in the military gym, he thought he was untouchable. But one look at her silver dog tag changed everything.
The Walk of Reckoning
The silence in the military gym was deafening. The soldiers who had been laughing just moments ago suddenly found urgent reasons to look away, sensing the sudden shift in the room's gravity. Cody's chest heaved as he stared at the silver eagle dog tag. He knew exactly what it represented: Amber wasn't a helpless subordinate. She was an undercover Captain from the Inspector General's office, sent to root out toxic behavior and command influence.
"Ma'am, I... I didn't know," Cody stammered, his tough-guy demeanor vanishing into thin air. "It was just a joke. We play around like this all the time."

Amber didn't answer him. She tucked the silver eagle back beneath her wet compression shirt, stood up, and marched toward the exit. The sticky blue liquid dripped onto the concrete floor with every step, leaving a trail of his impending doom. Terrified of what this would do to his military career, Cody scrambled after her, his bare feet slapping against the hallway floor.
"Look, Captain, you can't do this!" Cody hissed, catching up to her as she neared the administrative building. "My uncle is Colonel Harris! He runs this entire base. If you try to write me up, he'll make sure your report never sees the light of day. Just let it go!"
Amber continued her steady, rhythmic march, ignoring his desperate threats. She climbed the stairs to the executive wing and stopped directly in front of the heavy oak doors of the base commander's office. Cody reached out, foolishly trying to block her hand from the brass doorknob, but Amber grabbed his wrist with a lightning-fast grip, twisting it just enough to force him to step back in pain.
With a firm push, she threw the doors open. Sitting behind the desk was Colonel Harris, who looked up with immediate annoyance. But his expression turned to pure shock when he saw his disheveled nephew and a wet, blue-stained female officer standing in his doorway. Next to the Colonel sat a highly decorated four-star General, whose eyes narrowed to slits as he took in the scene.
