Previously: When Commander Richard orders Officer Amanda to remove her uniform jacket, a forbidden wolf tattoo reveals a shocking family secret that forces them to confront a dangerous military cover-up.

Richard didn't wait for her to answer in front of the troops. Grabbed by a sudden, urgent desperation, he barked an order to his lieutenant to dismiss the formation and commanded Amanda to follow him immediately. The walk to his private office was silent, the dust kicking up around their boots as they crossed the empty courtyard. Once inside, Richard slammed the heavy wooden door shut, locking it with a sharp click.

He spun around, his chest heaving. He grabbed the collar of his own digital camo jacket and yanked it down, revealing his left shoulder. There, etched into his skin, was the exact same howling wolf tattoo.

A Ghost from the Past

"That design is classified," Richard whispered, his voice shaking with a mixture of rage and grief. "It was the emblem of the Lone Wolves. Only two men in the world wore this mark. Me, and my brother Marcus. Marcus died a traitor fifteen years ago. Who are you?"

Amanda stood tall, her eyes shining with unshed tears but filled with fierce determination.

"My name isn't Amanda Vance, Commander. My real name is Amanda Miller. I am Marcus's daughter. And my father was no traitor."

Richard stumbled backward, colliding with his desk. The revelation hit him like a physical blow. He had believed for over a decade that his brother had sold government secrets and fled, leaving a stain on their family name.

"That's impossible," Richard stammered. "The evidence against him was absolute. The transmissions came directly from his terminal."
"Because he was framed," Amanda countered, pulling a small, metallic micro-drive from her pocket. "My father knew they were coming for him. He hid this drive in our old home before he disappeared. It contains the raw, unedited network logs. The transmission didn't originate from his terminal. It came from General Vance—the man who took over his command. The man who adopted me under a false name to keep me quiet."

Suddenly, the heavy door rattled. Loud, authoritative knocks echoed through the office, followed by a stern voice.

"Commander Richard! Open the door. We have orders to detain Officer Vance on suspicion of espionage!"
