My Estranged Son Returned to Save the Dangerous Dog Everyone Had Given Up On
Previously: When Mark’s vicious guard dog was scheduled to be put down, his estranged son Leo suddenly returned, performing a miracle that uncovered a dark conspiracy threatening their family ranch.
A Sudden Threat
Before Mark could find the words to speak to his son, the peaceful moment was shattered by the loud rumble of an approaching engine. A sleek, black SUV tore up the ranch's dirt driveway, kicking up a thick cloud of dust that obscured the orange sunset. The passenger door swung open, and Richard Vance, a wealthy and ruthless local land developer, stepped out, accompanied by Sheriff Miller.
Vance had been trying to buy the Red Ridge Ranch for years, constantly offering insultingly low bids to force Mark off his ancestral land. Now, he had a cruel, triumphant smirk plastered across his face. He held a clipboard tightly in his gloved hand and pointed a finger at the sleeping Rottweiler.

"I told you, Mark, that beast of yours is a menace," Vance sneered, his voice dripping with false concern. "She crossed onto my property last night and slaughtered three of my prized breeding heifers. I have a court order here to seize and destroy the animal immediately."
Mark’s heart sank. He looked at the sheriff, who nodded solemnly. If Mark fought the order, he would face immediate arrest, and Vance would easily foreclose on the ranch's overdue mortgage. It seemed like the end of everything Mark had fought to protect.
But Leo stood up slowly, stepping between the sheriff and the resting dog. He looked Vance dead in the eye, his expression completely devoid of fear. "You're not taking her," Leo said quietly, but with a steel-like resolve that made Vance pause.
Vance laughed loudly, turning to the sheriff. "Are you going to let this kid obstruct justice? Get him out of the way."
Leo reached into his jacket and pulled out a small, mud-caked digital camera. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, Sheriff," Leo said calmly. "Because this camera has footage from the border fence last night, and it tells a very different story."
