An Executive Promised to Marry the Janitor if He Fixed Her Impossible Engine
Previously: When twelve elite engineers failed to fix a revolutionary prototype, a humble janitor stepped up. But his sudden success revealed a shocking secret about his true identity.
A New Beginning
Before Dr. Vance could reply, the heavy double doors of the laboratory swung open. The board of directors walked in, led by the chairman, expecting to hear news of a cancellation. Instead, they were greeted by the majestic hum of a perfectly functioning quantum engine.
Sophia stood at a crossroads. She could protect the company's immediate reputation by covering up Vance’s theft, or she could do what was right. She looked at Andrew, seeing the dignity and brilliant mind hidden beneath his dirty denim clothes. The choice was simple.

"Gentlemen,"Sophia announced to the board, pointing to Dr. Vance.
"Dr. Vance is terminated immediately for intellectual property theft and fraud. And I would like to introduce you to our new Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Andrew Sterling—the man who actually built this company's future."
Security guards escorted a screaming, disgraced Vance out of the building. The board members, amazed by the working prototype, eagerly rushed to shake Andrew's hand, leaving him and Sophia alone near the glowing machinery.
Sophia walked over to Andrew, a genuine, warm smile replacing her usual cold executive mask. She looked down at his denim workwear and then up at his brilliant blue eyes.
"I believe I made a very specific promise if you fixed this engine,"she said softly, her voice filled with amusement and genuine respect.
Andrew smiled back, shook his head, and laughed.
"Let's start with dinner first, Sophia. I think we have a lot of lost time to make up for,"he replied.
Sometimes, the very people we ignore are the ones holding the key to our greatest breakthroughs, waiting for the right moment to shine.
