Previously: After being framed and fired by her corrupt boss, Jessica returns to the K9 training grounds—only to find her beloved pack remembers exactly who their true master is.

The Truth Unleashed

The sight of a drawn weapon sent a shockwave through the assembled officers. Officer Clark immediately drew his own weapon, but instead of aiming it at Jessica, he pointed it directly at his partner.

\"Put the gun down, Richard! Now!\" Clark commanded, his voice echoing off the concrete walls. \"You've completely lost your mind!\"

Richard’s hands were shaking. He was trapped, his lies exposed, and his career crumbling around him. Before he could make a fatal mistake, the heavy sirens of a command vehicle wailed in the distance. Within seconds, two black SUVs tore into the training yard, kicking up sprays of dirty water. Chief Vance stepped out of the lead vehicle, his face grim.

Jessica had not just brought the video to blackmail Richard; she had pre-sent the evidence to the Chief’s personal inbox thirty minutes before entering the facility, requesting an immediate intervention. The Chief took one look at the standoff, then at the defensive K9s, and finally at the trembling Richard.

\"Richard, hand over your badge and your weapon,\" Chief Vance ordered coldly. \"We've seen the footage. You're under arrest.\"

Two officers stepped forward, disarming the disgraced handler and putting him in handcuffs. As they led him away, Richard glared at Jessica, but she didn't even look at him. Her focus was entirely on her dogs, who were now leaning against her, looking up with soft, intelligent eyes.

Chief Vance walked over to Jessica, looking at the four magnificent animals who had refused to betray their true creator. He sighed, a look of deep regret on his face.

\"I owe you a massive apology, Jessica,\" the Chief said. \"We never should have doubted you. The department needs you. More importantly, these dogs need you. Will you come back and run the K9 unit?\"

Jessica looked down at Apollo, Zeus, Athena, and Thor. She smiled, the heavy burden she had carried for months finally lifting from her shoulders. She knew there was only one correct answer.

\"We're ready to get back to work, Chief,\" Jessica replied, her voice filled with pride.

True loyalty cannot be bought, forced, or stolen; it is earned through love and respect, and it always finds its way back home.
