Previously: When the kingdom's greatest warrior failed to draw the legendary sword from the stone, a ragged, ash-covered boy stepped forward—unlocking a royal secret that would change the realm forever.

As Borin lunged forward with a thunderous roar, his massive iron sword swinging down to crush the young boy, Arthur closed his eyes. He had never trained with a blade, but as the iron descended, a strange warmth guided his movement. The Empyrean Blade seemed to move of its own accord, rising to parry the massive blow.

The True King Rises

The clash of steel echoed through the canyon. To everyone's astonishment, the slender boy absorbed the impact effortlessly. With a swift, fluid motion, Arthur spun and tapped the flat of his blade against Borin's wrist. The giant warrior gasped as his weapon flew from his hands, clattering onto the stones. Arthur held the glowing tip of the legendary sword just inches from Borin's throat.

But instead of striking, Arthur lowered the blade.

"I seek no blood, Borin," Arthur said, his voice echoing with royal authority. "I only seek to restore the honor of this kingdom."

Borin stared at the young man, seeing not a kitchen boy, but a leader of true nobility and mercy. Slowly, the giant knight sank to one knee, bowing his head.

"My sword is yours, Your Grace," Borin declared.

One by one, the other knights followed suit, refusing Alistair’s frantic commands. They lowered their spears and knelt on the damp stone, pledging their allegiance to the rightful heir. Lord Alistair was quickly seized by his own guards, his reign of tyranny brought to an end.

Arthur looked down at his soot-stained hands, now holding the destiny of a kingdom. He realized that true royalty is not defined by the crowns we wear or the armor we bear, but by the courage in our hearts and the mercy we show to those who stand against us.
