Previously: After waking from a coma to find his foster brother had stolen his life's work, Lucas trains in secret for the ultimate confrontation in their old basement gym.

The Mask Falls

Marcus finally let the battle ropes drop to the dusty floor. He wiped his brow with the back of his hand, taking a slow, deliberate step toward Lucas. The smug grin returned, sharper and colder than before.

"You shouldn't have come back here, Lucas," Marcus whispered, his voice dripping with condescension. "This gym, the franchise, the empire... it all belongs to me now. You're just a ghost haunting a basement."

Lucas felt the hot surge of anger in his chest, but he kept his voice steady. "You forged my signature on the transfer documents while I was in a medically induced coma, Marcus. You stole my life's work because you knew you could never build something like this on your own."

"Prove it," Marcus sneered. "Who is going to believe a broken-down cripple over a successful CEO? The courts have already ruled. You have nothing. If you try to drag my name through the mud, I will ruin whatever little life you have left."

Marcus's eyes widened as he realized he had just boasted about his theft on a live audio feed. In a flash of pure panic and rage, Marcus lunged forward, grabbing Lucas by the collar of his black t-shirt and slamming him against a concrete pillar.

"Delete that right now, or I swear you won't walk out of here tonight," Marcus snarled, his fist clenched.
