I Found My Daughter in the Recycling Bin, and the Truth Shattered My Family
Previously: When Sarah frantically searched for her missing daughter, she never expected to find her unconscious in a recycling bin—or to uncover the dark secret her husband was desperately hiding.
Before Sarah could even open her mouth to speak, David stepped forward, his face twisted in a mask of grief and accusation.
"It was her, Officer," David said, pointing a trembling finger at Sarah. "My wife has been sleepwalking. She’s been under an immense amount of stress lately, taking medication. I think she put Lily there in her sleep."
Sarah stared at her husband, her mind reeling in absolute disbelief. How could he accuse her of such a monstrous act? Before she could defend herself, the paramedics hurried Lily onto a gurney, and Officer Miller insisted they all proceed to the hospital immediately.

At the hospital, the tension in the waiting room was suffocating. Sarah sat with her head in her hands, praying for her daughter's recovery, while David stood by the window, refusing to look at her. Finally, the pediatric doctor emerged with a serious expression. He delivered the news that Lily was stable, but then he dropped a bombshell.
"We ran a toxicology screen," the doctor explained. "Lily was given a high dose of a pediatric sedative. She didn't wander out there on her own. She was drugged."
Sarah’s blood ran cold. She didn't own any sedatives, but she knew David did. He had been prescribed heavy sleep aids for months. When the doctor left, Sarah confronted David in the quiet hallway.
"You did this," Sarah whispered, hissing with pure fury. "You drugged our daughter and put her in that bin!"
David sneered, stepping closer. "No one will ever believe you, Sarah. You're the unstable one."
Just then, David's mother, Eleanor, arrived. Instead of checking on Lily, she pulled David into a nearby alcove. Suspicious, Sarah followed them silently, hiding behind a vending machine and turning on her phone's voice recorder.
"Did you delete the hallway camera footage?" Eleanor whispered frantically.
"Yes, Mom," David hissed back. "But Sarah found her too early. The trash collectors were supposed to take her away before anyone noticed!"
Sarah gasped quietly. They had tried to murder her daughter. Eleanor continued, "Good. If she found out about the five-million-dollar trust fund my father left solely to Lily, she would have divorced you and taken half. Now, she'll go to jail, and you'll control the money."
”Now, she'll go to jail, and you'll control the money."
