My Chauvinist General Demanded I Fetch Him Coffee, So I Revealed My Real Rank
Previously: When General Arthur Vance ordered Lieutenant Sarah Jenkins to fetch him coffee and stay in the kitchen, he had no idea she held the power to end his entire career.
The Ultimate Reckoning
Right on cue, the red secure telephone on Vance's desk began to ring. The smug grin faded from the general’s face as he realized only the highest-ranking officials in Washington had access to that line. He snatched the receiver, his voice tight. "General Vance here." As he listened, his face slowly drained of color, turning a ghostly, pale white. The voice on the other end belonged to a three-star general from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, ordering him to report to the main auditorium immediately for an emergency tribunal.
When Vance and Sarah arrived at the auditorium, the entire senior officer staff of the base was already assembled in stunned silence. At the center of the stage stood Major General Morrison, who had flown in from Washington. Vance tried to regain his composure, stepping forward to defend himself. "General Morrison, this lieutenant has compromised base security and insulted my command!" he lied desperately. "I demand her immediate dishonorable discharge!"

General Morrison looked at Vance with cold disgust. "The only career ending today, Arthur, is yours," Morrison said quietly. He then turned to Sarah and nodded. Sarah stepped forward, pulling out her official credentials and presenting them to the assembly. She was not just a lieutenant; she held the authority of a special federal investigator.
She projected the financial audits onto the screen, detailing millions of dollars Vance had embezzled from base construction funds, followed by the clear audio recording of his abusive behavior. The evidence was undeniable. Two federal marshals stepped out from the shadows of the stage, approached a trembling Vance, and placed him in handcuffs. He was stripped of his rank on the spot and escorted out of the building in disgrace.
As the doors closed behind the fallen general, Sarah stood before the remaining officers, a symbol of integrity and strength. She had proven that true leadership is defined by honor and respect, and that no amount of power can shield a bully from the inevitable hand of justice.
