Previously: When General Arthur tried to humiliate Lieutenant Sarah Miller by demanding she serve him coffee, he had no idea she wasn't just a subordinate—she held the key to his entire future.

The heavy steel door of her quarters clicked shut, and Sarah finally let out the breath she had been holding. Her hands were steady as she sat down at her desk and opened her secure laptop. The confrontation in the briefing room had been humiliating, but it was also exactly what she needed. Sarah wasn't just a logistics officer; she was an undercover investigator assigned by the Pentagon's Internal Affairs Division to look into massive financial discrepancies within General Arthur's command.

The Digital Trap

For months, millions of dollars earmarked for soldier safety equipment had vanished. Arthur was the prime suspect, but his local encryption was impenetrable from the outside. Sarah knew that the only way to access his private servers was to bait him into opening her personnel file using his master clearance key. Her public defiance would infuriate him enough to seek immediate disciplinary action, forcing him to access her records.

She watched the screen intently. Within twenty minutes, a flashing red notification confirmed her theory. General Arthur had opened her file. The hidden Trojan horse inside her digital records immediately initiated a backdoor download of Arthur's private ledger. Columns of hidden offshore bank accounts and unauthorized wire transfers began streaming onto her drive. It was the definitive proof she needed to dismantle his corrupt empire forever.

But at ninety percent, the progress bar suddenly froze. The screen flickered and went entirely black, replaced by a flashing warning: System Override. Connection Terminated. Before Sarah could react, the heavy lock on her quarters clicked. The door burst open, and three armed military police officers rushed in, their weapons drawn. Behind them stepped General Arthur, a triumphant, malicious smile on his face as he held a pair of handcuffs.

"Lieutenant Miller, you are under arrest for treason and unauthorized espionage," Arthur sneered. "I told you that you didn't belong in my military."
