Previously: When General Arthur tried to humiliate Lieutenant Sarah Miller in front of the entire command staff, he thought she would break. Instead, she uncovered a truth that changed everything.

Justice Served

General Vance picked up the dusty file, his brow furrowing as he noticed the classified red seal. As he opened it and began to read, the smug expression on General Arthur's face slowly began to melt away. Arthur tried to intervene, stepping forward with his hands shaking.

"Sir, that is classified material obtained illegally by a suspended officer,"
he stammered, his voice losing its commanding edge.

But Vance ignored him, his eyes scanning the damning evidence of Arthur's cowardice and betrayal. The silence in the office was deafening. Finally, Vance closed the folder and looked up, his eyes filled with absolute disgust. He didn't look at Sarah; his gaze was fixed entirely on Arthur.

"Arthur, you are stripped of your command effective immediately,"
Vance said, his voice cold as ice.
"You will be escorted to the brig pending a full military tribunal for treason, cowardice, and falsification of official records."

Arthur collapsed into a nearby chair, his face pale and his chest heaving as military MPs entered the office to escort him away. He looked at Sarah, defeated and broken, realizing that the young officer he had tried to humiliate had just dismantled his entire life with a single file.

General Vance then turned to Sarah, his expression softening into one of deep respect.

"Lieutenant Miller, your father would be incredibly proud of your courage. Your clearance is restored, and I am personally recommending you for a promotion to Captain."

Standing tall, Sarah saluted her commander, a sense of profound peace washing over her. She had not only saved her own career, but she had finally brought justice to the brave men Arthur had abandoned so many years ago. True leadership is defined by honor and integrity, not by rank or empty demands of submission.
