Previously: Samantha was framed, divorced, and left homeless by her ruthless in-laws. But a year later, she returns to crash their multi-billion dollar celebration with a shocking secret.

The Confrontation at the Table

Samantha stood up from her table, smoothing down her dress. Every step she took toward the laughing family felt like a drumbeat of impending doom. As she approached, Richard was the first to notice her. His laughter instantly died, his glass of champagne freezing halfway to his lips.

"Samantha?" Richard gasped, his face losing all color. "What on earth are you doing here?"

Evelyn’s eyes narrowed into slits of pure disgust. "How did you even get past the host? Security! Get this trash out of here," she hissed, waving her hand dismissively.

Arthur, the patriarch, merely sneered, leaning back in his chair. "Have you come to beg for a handout, Samantha? I thought we made it clear that you are no longer welcome in our world."

Samantha didn't flinch. Instead, she pulled a thick manila envelope from her designer clutch and placed it gently on the center of the white tablecloth, right next to their sparkling crystal glasses. "I’m not here to beg, Arthur," she said, her voice steady and echoing with quiet authority. "I’m here to deliver a wedding present. Or rather, a divorce present."Arthur laughed mockingly, but curiosity got the better of him. He pulled the documents from the envelope. As his eyes scanned the first page—a detailed breakdown of their offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands, complete with IP addresses matching his private home computer—his smug grin vanished. His hands began to tremble violently.

"Where did you get this?" Arthur whispered, his voice cracking. "This is impossible. We wiped those servers."

"You forgot about my father’s private backup key," Samantha replied, leaning in close. "The one he kept in a local bank safe-deposit box. Every forged signature, every wire transfer, every dime of the money you stole from my father’s company is documented right there. And it has already been sent to the federal prosecutors."

Richard panicked, grabbing the papers from his father's shaking hands. "Samantha, please, we can talk about this! We can make a deal!"

Samantha looked at Marcus Vance, the billionaire partner they were trying to merge with, who had remained silent the entire time. "I don't think there's anything left to negotiate," she said.
