The presiding colonel looked from the flash drive in Sarah’s hand to the panicked expression on General Arthur’s face. The contrast was stark; Sarah stood with absolute poise, while the veteran general was visibly sweating.

"Hand it over, Officer," the colonel commanded.

As Sarah stepped forward, Arthur intercepted her, his voice dropping to a desperate whisper. "Sarah, stop this. We can work this out. I'll drop the charges. I'll get you promoted to Captain by tomorrow. Just give me the drive."

Sarah looked at him with quiet contempt. "A woman's place isn't in the kitchen, General. And it certainly isn't in your pocket."

She bypassed him and handed the drive to the colonel. Within minutes, the files were projected onto the secure screen. The evidence was absolute. There were bank routing numbers, decrypted emails, and specific coordinates of military assets that Arthur had sold for millions of dollars.

"Arrest General Arthur immediately on charges of high treason," the colonel ordered.

Arthur was stripped of his sidearm and marched out of the room in handcuffs, his head bowed in utter humiliation. The colonel then turned his attention back to Sarah.

"Officer Sarah, your insubordination charges are officially dismissed," the colonel said, a rare smile touching his lips. "In light of your exceptional service and integrity, this board is recommending you for immediate promotion. You will be taking over Arthur's tactical division."
