How My Fiancée Framed Me at a Rooftop Gala and Destroyed My Life
Previously: Arthur thought he was celebrating the biggest night of his career, but a sudden, public accusation from his closest friends and fiancée ruined everything in seconds.
The Final Turn of the Tide
Julian, the firm's chief financial officer and Clara's secret lover, stepped forward from the crowd. He held a pen and a contract in his hand, looking down at Arthur with smug satisfaction. "Sign over your shares in the company to Clara as compensation for her emotional distress," Julian sneered. "Do it now, and we won't call the police tonight."
Arthur looked at the contract. He looked at Clara, who was watching him with an expectant, greedy smile. Then, he looked at Sienna. They believed they had executed the perfect crime. They believed Arthur was a broken man who would quietly sacrifice himself to protect his mother's health and his family's reputation.

But Arthur slowly began to laugh. It started as a quiet chuckle, then grew into a confident, resonant laugh that startled the entire terrace. He slowly stood up, brushing the dust off the knees of his midnight black tuxedo. He looked Julian directly in the eyes and took the pen.
Instead of signing, Arthur clicked the top of the pen twice. A tiny blue light blinked on the side of his lapel. "Thank you, Clara," Arthur said, his voice calm and clear. "That confession was exactly what my private investigator needed. And since this entire gala is being live-streamed to our primary investors, I believe they just heard every single word of your extortion attempt."
Clara's face drained of color. Sienna took a step back, her eyes wide with sudden terror. Before anyone could react, the heavy glass doors of the terrace swung open. Two detectives from the financial crimes division walked out, followed by uniform officers.
"Clara Vance, Sienna Miller, and Julian Vance, you are under arrest for conspiracy, grand larceny, and extortion," the lead detective announced.
As the handcuffs clicked around Clara's wrists, she looked at Arthur with desperate, pleading eyes. But Arthur merely turned his back to her, looking out over the glowing city skyline. He had lost the woman he thought he loved, but he had saved his honor. In the end, the truth is a weapon that no amount of greed can ever hope to defeat.
