It was Marcus, Julian's younger brother and the chief accountant for his private investment firm. The courtroom erupted into quiet chaos. Arthur froze, his arm still extended, while Julian's face turned from smug satisfaction to a pale, terrified mask. Judge Thomas banged his gavel repeatedly, demanding order in his court. He called both Arthur and Sarah's defense attorney to the bench for an urgent, hushed sidebar. Marcus was escorted forward, handing the drive to the bailiff, who immediately passed it to the judge.

With a stern expression, Judge Thomas plugged the drive into his computer. He put on his reading glasses, the screen reflecting in his eyes as he scrolled through the encrypted files Marcus had brought. The silence returned, heavier and more suffocating than before. Sarah watched the judge's face, her breath caught in her throat. She saw the moment his silver eyebrows furrowed, and a look of deep, righteous anger crossed his features.

The files contained the true transaction logs. They showed that the offshore accounts had been opened using Julian's private IP address, and that Sarah's digital signature had been copied and pasted from an old employment contract. Marcus had also included audio recordings of Julian bragging about how easy it was to frame his wife and take her father's fortune. Judge Thomas looked up from the screen, his gaze locking directly onto Julian in the gallery.
