My Husband Said Our Baby Didn't Survive, But a Golden Mirror Revealed the Truth
Previously: Waking from a coma, Sarah was told her newborn baby hadn't survived the crash. Two years later, a chance encounter leads her to a sun-drenched hallway where a familiar reflection changes everything.
The Bitter Confrontation
The dreamlike silence of the house was violently shattered by the sound of voices echoing from the kitchen. Sarah quickly retreated into the shadows, hiding behind a heavy wooden partition. She strained to listen, her blood running cold as she recognized the sharp, haughty tone of her former mother-in-law, Eleanor.
“Mark, you must sign these guardianship papers immediately,”Eleanor demanded, her voice cutting through the warmth of the afternoon.
“If Sarah ever discovers the truth—that we forged the medical certificates and paid off the hospital staff—we will lose everything. The family name will be ruined.”
Sarah gasped, pressing her hand over her mouth to stifle a sob. The pieces of a horrific puzzle began to fall into place. Her son hadn't died. They had stolen him from her while she lay comatose and helpless. Then, Mark’s voice broke through the air, thick with guilt and exhaustion.
“I can't keep doing this, Mother,”he groaned.
“I found the real hospital records. Sarah didn't abandon us. You lied to me, telling me she took a payout and ran away. And now you expect me to keep her son from her forever?”

Eleanor’s response was cold and vicious.
“I did what was necessary to protect you from a woman who would have dragged you down! Now sign the papers, or I will ensure you are cut off from the family estate entirely.”
Unable to contain her rage and pain any longer, Sarah stepped out of the shadows and marched into the kitchen.
“You monsters!”she cried out, her voice trembling with two years of accumulated agony. Eleanor spun around, her face draining of all color, while Mark dropped his pen, staring at Sarah as if she were a ghost.
“Sarah?”Mark whispered, his eyes wide with disbelief.
“But... Mother told me you passed away in an asylum last year!”As the adults clashed, little Leo began to cry, terrified by the sudden shouting, while Eleanor slowly backed toward her phone, a sinister look returning to her eyes.
