Previously: When a cruel manager threatened to fire an associate for cleaning a poor elderly lady's vintage watch, she produced an old photograph that completely turned the tables on the store.

The Unmasking of a Legend

A heavy, suffocating silence fell over the luxurious showroom. Sarah stared at the elderly woman, her face contorting from shock to a mask of pure disbelief. Then, she let out a sharp, mocking laugh that echoed off the high ceilings.

"His wife? Are you completely insane?" Sarah sneered, her voice rising. "Arthur Sterling's wife passed away over a decade ago. You are nothing but a delusional fraud trying to scam a luxury boutique!"

Sarah reached out, intending to snatch the vintage photograph from Clara's fragile hands, but Liam instantly stepped between them, shielding the elderly lady. "Do not touch her, Sarah," Liam warned, his voice remarkably calm despite the adrenaline pumping through his veins.

"You are fired, Liam! Pack your things and get out of my store!" Sarah shrieked, pulling out her phone to call security. "I want both of you thrown out on the street!"

Clara remained completely unbothered by Sarah's hysterical outburst. With slow, deliberate movements, she reached back into the faded vintage envelope. This time, she pulled out a yellowed parchment document, stamped with a gold seal that bore the original logo of Sterling & Co. from fifty years ago. It was the original deed of the building and the founding partnership agreement, clearly listing Clara Sterling as the primary owner of the estate.

Just as Sarah was about to scream at the security guards who had just entered, the front doors of the boutique opened. Mr. Vance, the regional director, walked in. Sarah immediately rushed to him, her voice dripping with sweet poison.

"Mr. Vance, thank goodness! This incompetent employee is defending a crazy trespasser who is trying to extort us with fake documents!" Sarah cried, pointing a manicured finger at Clara.

Mr. Vance walked past Sarah, his eyes landing on the elderly woman in the wheelchair. Slowly, his face drained of all color. He pushed past Sarah, his hands visibly shaking as he approached Clara. To Sarah's absolute horror, the powerful regional director bowed his head in deep respect.
