My Mother-in-Law Ripped My Wedding Dress, but She Didn't See the Hidden Cameras
Previously: When Ashley's mother-in-law tore her silk wedding dress minutes before the ceremony, she thought she had won. She didn't realize the entire kitchen was being recorded.
The Ultimatum
The silence in the kitchen was suffocating. On the screen, the security footage played on a loop, showing Patricia’s calculated act of malice in high-definition. Patricia’s composure fractured, her face morphing from smug satisfaction to sheer panic. But instead of apologizing, she turned on her heel and glared at Andrew, her voice rising in desperation.
"Andrew, don't be ridiculous! She set me up!" Patricia cried, pointing a manicured finger at my tear-stained face. "She knew those cameras were there. She provoked me! She’s trying to tear this family apart!"
Andrew looked at his mother, his eyes wide with shock and profound disappointment. "Mom, I just watched you rip her dress. You looked right at her and told her no one would believe her. How can you lie to my face?"

Realizing her lies were useless, Patricia’s panic hardened into venom. She stepped closer to Andrew, her voice dropping to a harsh whisper that carried across the room. "If you marry this girl, Andrew, you are dead to me. I will cut you off from the family estate. I will take back your position at the firm. You will have nothing. Choose right now: your family, or this gold digger."
My heart hammered against my ribs. Patricia was a woman of immense wealth and influence, and she had the power to strip Andrew of everything he had worked for. I looked down at my torn dress, feeling exposed and broken. I didn't want to be the reason Andrew lost his family, but I couldn't let Patricia win this cruel game. Andrew stood frozen, his hands clenched into fists, caught between the mother who raised him and the woman he loved. Outside, the wedding coordinator tapped on the window, gesturing that the guests were seated and the ceremony was scheduled to begin in five minutes.
