Previously: When Lieutenant Chloe Vale was ordered to remove her jacket in front of her entire platoon, she expected humiliation. Instead, the wolf tattoo on her back exposed a devastating military conspiracy.

The Wolves Rise Again

Before Vance could pull the trigger, the deafening roar of a heavy military helicopter filled the valley. A massive, unmarked black chopper descended into the courtyard, kicking up a blinding storm of sand and dust. Vance shielded his eyes, cursing as the rotors forced everyone to take a step back.

The cabin doors slid open, and heavily armed, elite federal marshals poured out, their weapons drawn. But they didn't aim at Chloe or her platoon. Instead, they surrounded Commander Vance and pointed their rifles up at the balcony where General Sterling stood frozen in terror.

Out of the helicopter stepped Colonel Evelyn Reed, the head of the military's internal affairs. She held a thick, leather-bound journal in her hand—the very journal Chloe's father had kept.

"Commander Vance, General Sterling, you are under arrest for treason, conspiracy, and the wrongful deaths of the Silent Wolves unit,"
Colonel Reed announced, her voice amplified by a megaphone.

Vance slowly dropped his weapon, his knees buckling as the marshals tackled him to the dusty ground. Up on the balcony, Sterling put his hands on his head, realizing his decades of corruption had finally caught up to him. The platoon erupted into cheers, their shouts of victory echoing off the canyon walls.

Colonel Reed walked over to Chloe, looking at the wolf tattoo on her shoulder. She offered a crisp, respectful salute. "Your father was a hero, Lieutenant Vale. Today, his name is finally cleared, and his killers will face justice. The Silent Wolves have been vindicated."

Chloe returned the salute, tears finally shining in her eyes as a decade of grief and anger washed away. She had faced down the men who destroyed her family, armed only with her courage and the truth. True loyalty is not defined by a uniform, but by the honor of those who wear it.
