Previously: When Natalie's power-hungry father demanded her resignation as CEO to favor her stepfamily, he thought he had won. But a cold smile and a single phone call changed everything.

The Corporate Battleground

By nine o'clock the following morning, the atmosphere in the high-rise boardroom of Sterling Holdings was electric with tension. Word of the emergency protocol had leaked, and the independent board members sat in hushed, anxious conversation. Natalie sat at the head of the long glass table, her expression serene, a small beige bandage covering the cut on her lip. She looked every bit the powerful executive she was.

Suddenly, the heavy double doors were flung open. Arthur marched in, his face pale but determined, flanked by Victoria and a team of high-priced corporate attorneys. Victoria looked smug, clutching an expensive designer handbag like a shield, while Arthur slammed his leather briefcase onto the table.

"This meeting is an absolute farce!" Arthur bellowed, his voice echoing off the glass walls. "My daughter has launched a desperate, illegal coup to steal my company. I demand this ridiculous protocol be lifted immediately!"

His lead attorney stepped forward, handing a thick stack of legal documents to the board members. "We have filed an emergency injunction," the attorney announced. "Natalie’s actions are a clear breach of her fiduciary duties. We are executing the Chairman’s right to terminate her contract effective immediately."

A murmur of unease rippled through the board. The Chairman of the Board, a senior member named Marcus, turned to Natalie with a heavy sigh.

"Natalie, the emergency protocol is a highly restrictive measure," Marcus said. "To freeze the founder's voting shares, you must present immediate, undeniable proof of physical endangerment or severe moral turpitude. Do you have such evidence?"

Arthur smirked, leaning back in his chair. He believed he had covered his tracks perfectly. There were no witnesses to his outburst other than his loyal wife and stepdaughter. But Natalie merely smiled, opening her laptop and connecting it to the room's massive digital projector.

"I do," Natalie said calmly, pressing a key. "And I think you all deserve to see it."
