Previously: When Olivia collapsed in a crowded mall, her cruel step-sister only sneered. But the handsome stranger who knelt to help her saw a gold chain that changed everything.

A New Beginning

Daniel looked at Victoria, the woman he had nearly married, with nothing but pure disgust. The realization that his entire adult life had been built on a foundation of cruel deception by his fiancee and her mother was devastating, but the joy of finding his sister alive washed over him like a healing wave. He took a step back from Victoria, detaching himself from her completely.

"The wedding is off," Daniel said, his voice cold and final. "And you have exactly twenty-four hours to pack your bags and get out of our family's house. My lawyers will be contacting your mother tomorrow morning to reclaim every single dollar you stole from Olivia."

Victoria opened her mouth to scream, but the cold glare from Daniel silenced her. Realizing she had lost everything—her wealthy fiancé, her social standing, and her stolen fortune—she turned and fled through the mall crowd, sobbing in humiliation.

Daniel turned back to Olivia, his tough exterior instantly melting. He knelt down once more, gently helping her to her feet and securing her crutches. He wrapped his strong arms around her, holding her close as she wept tears of pure relief onto his denim jacket.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't here, Olivia," Daniel whispered, kissing the top of her head. "But I'm here now. I promise you, we are going to get you the best doctors for your leg, and we are going to rebuild our lives together. You will never have to struggle alone again."

For the first time in three years, Olivia felt the heavy weight of despair lift from her shoulders. Looking at her brother, she knew that justice would be served, but more importantly, she had her family back. True family is a bond that no amount of greed or deception can ever truly break.
