When the heavy double doors swung open, however, Chloe walked in, her head held high and her eyes shining with determination.

Julian smirked, tossing a pen onto the table.

"Ah, Chloe. Glad you could make it to watch me inherit everything," Julian sneered. "I hear you and Mark had a bit of a public falling out. Such a shame."

Chloe didn't flinch. Instead, Marcus stepped forward and placed a voice recorder and a copy of the signed contract onto the table. The room went dead silent as Marcus pressed play. Mark's voice filled the room, clearly discussing the bribe with Julian and planning the staged breakup. The lawyers' faces turned pale as they realized the implications of conspiracy to commit estate fraud.

"This contract and this recording prove a coordinated conspiracy to defraud the estate," Marcus announced calmly. "Under state law, any attempt to manipulate the terms of a will through illegal coercion or fraud immediately disqualifies the complicit parties."

Julian’s smug grin vanished, replaced by sheer panic. Mark turned on Julian, demanding his money, but Julian’s lawyers quickly advised him to stay silent. Within minutes, the estate executor ruled that the inheritance would go entirely to Chloe, while Julian and Mark would be referred to the district attorney for criminal fraud. Mark begged Chloe for forgiveness, claiming he only did it because he was in debt, but she simply turned her back on him.
