Previously: When Thomas tried to pin the failure of a multi-million dollar project on Rachel, he thought he had won. He didn't know she held the one piece of evidence that could destroy him.

A New Dawn

The silence in the boardroom was deafening. Thomas opened his mouth to speak, to offer some elaborate excuse, but no words came out. The evidence on the screen was absolute, complete with digital signatures and bank routing numbers that pointed directly to his personal accounts. He had built a house of cards, and Rachel had just blown it away with a single click.

Arthur Vance stood up, his expression cold as ice. He didn't even look at Thomas as he picked up his phone and dialed corporate security, instructing them to escort Thomas off the premises and contact the authorities immediately.

"Pack your things, Thomas," Arthur said quietly, the authority in his voice leaving no room for debate. "The police will be waiting for you downstairs."

Thomas was led out of the building in handcuffs, passing by the very glass office where he had screamed at Rachel only an hour prior. The coworkers who had watched him yell now watched him fall from grace in utter silence. His greed and arrogance had finally caught up with him.

Once the chaos settled, Arthur turned to Rachel. He apologized sincerely for not recognizing her hard work sooner and offered her the position of Senior Partner, along with full control over rebuilding the Meridian account. It was the promotion she had earned ten times over.

Walking back to her desk, Rachel felt a profound sense of relief. She had not only saved her career, but she had also proven that integrity and hard work would always triumph over deceit. As she looked out at the city skyline, she knew her journey was just beginning, and she would never let anyone silence her again.

In the end, those who try to build their success on the ruins of others will only find themselves buried under the debris of their own lies.
