I Offered Hot Soup to Two Homeless Kids and Found My Sister's Missing Children
Previously: Nicole thought she was just doing a good deed on a freezing night, but a faded yellow blanket revealed a shocking truth about the two kids.
The Confrontation on the Sidewalk
Nicole’s breath hitched. She stared at the faded pink stitching, her hands trembling violently. She looked up, brushing the damp hair away from the little girl’s face. Beneath the grey pom-pom hat were the unmistakable, brilliant green eyes of her late sister, Sarah. And the boy—with his stubborn jaw and deep brown eyes—was undeniably Ethan, her nephew.
"Ethan? Ava?" Nicole whispered, tears instantly freezing on her cheeks. "It’s me. It’s Aunt Nicole."
The boy gasped, his eyes widening in panic. He tried to pull his sister back, terrified that this was some kind of trick. Before Nicole could comfort them, the restaurant door flew open with a loud bang. Mr. Henderson, the arrogant night manager, stood in the doorway, his face twisted in disgust.

"Nicole! What do you think you’re doing?" he barked, stepping onto the snow. "We don't allow street beggars loitering outside our entrance. It ruins the atmosphere. Get them out of here, or I’m calling the police!"
Nicole stood up, placing herself protectively between her manager and the children. "They are not beggars, Mr. Henderson! They are my family! This is my niece and nephew!" she yelled back, her voice echoing down the snowy street.
"I don't care who they are," Henderson sneered, reaching for his phone. "They go, or you’re fired. I won't have trash ruining our business."
Just as Henderson began dialing, a sleek black sedan pulled up to the curb. A tall, distinguished man in a heavy wool coat stepped out. It was Arthur Vance, the wealthy owner of the restaurant chain. He had been arriving for an unannounced inspection. Seeing the commotion, his eyes narrowed as he walked toward them.
"What is going on here, Henderson?" Mr. Vance asked, his voice calm but commanding.
Henderson smirked, thinking he had backup. "Sir, Nicole is harboring homeless kids on our property and refusing to send them away." Mr. Vance looked at the shivering children, then at Nicole’s tear-stained face, and his expression softened into deep concern.
