Previously: When Recruit Ryan thought he could corner Jessica in the misty military showers, he expected an easy target. Instead, he learned a brutal lesson about who really held the power.

The Commander's Arrival

The silence in the misty shower room was deafening. None of the recruits dared to move. Ryan was not just any recruit; he was the son of General Thomas Vance, the base commander. Pinned against the wall, Ryan’s face turned from red to a deep purple, his eyes burning with humiliation and rage.

"My father... will destroy you for this," Ryan wheezed, his voice laced with venom. "You're finished on this base."

Before Jessica could reply, the heavy metal door of the shower room swung open with a resounding clang. The thick steam parted to reveal a tall, imposing figure in a pristine dress uniform. It was General Vance himself, flanked by two military police officers. He had arrived early for a surprise inspection of the barracks.

The General’s eyes swept the room, taking in the shocking sight: his own son pinned to the wall by a female recruit wrapped only in a towel.

"What is the meaning of this?" General Vance roared, his voice echoing off the damp concrete walls. "Release him immediately!"

Jessica slowly stepped back, releasing her grip. Ryan slumped to the floor, coughing violently before scrambling to his feet. He immediately pointed an accusing finger at Jessica.

"Dad, she attacked me!" Ryan lied, his voice desperate. "She went crazy and tried to choke me out for no reason!"

General Vance turned his cold, piercing gaze to Jessica. "Explain yourself, Recruit. Give me one reason why I shouldn't have you court-martialed and thrown out of this military tonight."

Instead of trembling, Jessica stood at attention. Slowly, she reached beneath her dog tags and pulled out a small, tarnished silver locket that she always kept hidden close to her heart. She held it out in the palm of her hand. The General stepped closer, intending to confiscate it, but when his eyes fell upon the unique engraving of a soaring eagle on the silver casing, he froze. All the color drained from his face.
