A Rude Salesman Shoved a Teenager in Rags, Unaware of His Real Identity
Previously: When a snobbish car salesman violently shoves a poorly dressed teenager touching a luxury sports car, he has no idea the boy's family owns the entire dealership.
A Web of Deceit
The tension in the showroom was thick enough to cut with a knife. As Edward began ushering the bewildered customers out to clear the room, Richard stood frozen, his hands shaking. Within minutes, the heavy glass door of the general manager’s office swung open. Out walked Marcus, the dealership’s general manager, wearing a patronizing smirk.
Marcus looked at the empty showroom, then at Lucas in his simple clothes, and finally at Edward. Instead of apologizing, Marcus crossed his arms and laughed. "Edward, I know you manage the Vance family's personal estate, but you have no authority over my showroom operations. Richard is my top-performing salesman. He brings in millions. I’m not going to fire him over a minor misunderstanding with a teenager who shouldn't have been touching a multi-million dollar vehicle anyway."

Richard let out a sigh of relief, his arrogance quickly returning. "Exactly, Marcus. The kid was practically begging to be thrown out. I was just protecting our inventory."
Lucas watched them, a cold smile forming on his face. He realized that the corruption in this dealership ran deeper than just one rude salesman. The manager was actively protecting abusive behavior to keep his sales numbers high. What Marcus didn't know was that Lucas wasn't just any teenager—he was the sole heir to the entire Vance empire, and this visit was his final test before taking over the family's automotive division.
"You think your sales numbers protect you, Marcus?" Lucas asked quietly. "You think treating people like trash is acceptable as long as it brings in profit?"
"Listen, kid," Marcus sneered, stepping closer. "You don't run this place. I do. And if you don't leave right now, I'll have the police arrest you for trespassing."
Edward sighed, pulling a sleek black smartphone from his pocket. He dialed a private, encrypted number and placed it on speakerphone. The call connected on the first ring, and a deep, commanding voice echoed through the office. It was Arthur Vance, the billionaire patriarch of the family.
"Edward? Is my grandson's inspection complete?" Arthur's voice boomed.
Marcus's smirk instantly vanished. His eyes darted from the phone to Lucas, his face turning an ashy gray as the realization of his catastrophic mistake began to sink in.
