I Ruined My Sister’s Wedding to Save Her, and the Coordinator Had a Secret
Previously: When Amanda discovered her sister’s groom was a cheater, she stopped the wedding with the help of Justin, the coordinator. But the groom's wealthy family wasn't going down without a fight.
Marcus Vance marched down the steps, his face contorted in a mask of pure rage. He bypassed the whispering guests and stopped directly in front of Justin and me, his heavy breathing loud in the quiet evening air.
"You think you can embarrass my family and walk away?" Marcus roared, his voice shaking the very bricks beneath our feet. "I will ruin both of you. Amanda, you will be facing felony charges for hacking, and Justin, you are finished in this industry."
The Threat of Ruin
I stepped in front of Justin, trying to shield him.
"It was my fault," I said, forcing my voice to remain steady. "I found the texts. I asked him to put them on the screen. He was just doing his job."Julian sneered from behind his father.
"His job was to coordinate a wedding, not destroy it. My father owns the agency Justin works for. We bought the parent company last month. You're fired, Justin. And I'll make sure you never get hired to plan a birthday party, let alone a high-society wedding, ever again."

My stomach turned to ice. I had saved my sister, but I had destroyed Justin's life in the process. He had been so brave, standing up for what was right, and now he was paying the ultimate price. I turned to look at Justin, ready to apologize, but to my utter shock, he wasn't trembling. He didn't look defeated at all.
Instead, a cold, mocking smile spread across Justin's face. He slowly reached up, unclipped his black lanyard, and let it drop to the brick walkway. He looked directly at Marcus Vance, his eyes shining with a quiet, dangerous confidence.
"You think you bought my agency, Marcus?" Justin asked, his voice calm and steady. "You bought a shell company. Let me tell you who actually owns the land you're standing on."
”Let me tell you who actually owns the land you're standing on."
