Previously: When Victoria's multi-million dollar prototype failed, she jokingly promised to marry the night-shift janitor if he could fix it. She never expected him to actually do it—or reveal his true identity.

The Saboteur Revealed

Before anyone could question the strange, brilliant blue light reflecting off the chrome chassis, Leo moved with practiced, blinding speed. With three precise turns of a manual bypass valve and a rapid sequence of commands entered into the auxiliary interface, he bypassed the corrupted system bottleneck. A split second later, the Quantum-V engine coughed, sparkled, and roared to life with a deep, resonant hum that vibrated through the reinforced glass walls of the laboratory. The main diagnostic monitors instantly flashed a vibrant green with the words: Core Stabilized.

The room erupted into stunned silence. Victoria’s jaw dropped as she stared at the humming prototype, then back to the scruffy janitor who had done the impossible in under two minutes. Her heart hammered against her ribs; the impossible bet she had just made flashed through her mind. But before she could speak, Julian stepped forward, his face twisted in a mixture of panic and fury.

"This is a setup!"
Julian shouted, grabbing Leo by the collar of his grease-stained jumpsuit.
"He's a fraud! He must have sabotaged the engine earlier today just so he could pretend to be the hero and extort us. Security, arrest this man immediately!"

Leo didn't flinch. He calmly removed Julian's hands from his collar and adjusted his jumpsuit.

"If I sabotaged it, Julian, then why does the digital signature on the corrupted code block match the private IP address of your personal laptop?"
Leo asked, his voice calm and steady.

Julian went completely pale, his eyes darting around the room as the other engineers began to murmur in shock. Leo stepped closer to the diagnostic terminal, pulling up the hidden system logs.

"Five years ago, I was framed for corporate espionage using this exact same code injection method,"
Leo revealed, looking directly at Victoria.
"The man who framed me was Julian's former mentor. Julian didn't want this engine to work. He sabotaged it so you would be forced to sell Apex Dynamics to his secret business partners."
