Previously: When 26-year-old Landon mocked a senior woman at a busy shooting range, he thought it would be an easy win. But one look at her registration card left the official in absolute shock.

The Ultimate Showdown

Mildred felt the eyes of the entire room locking onto her. She could feel the familiar ache of arthritis in her knuckles, and a slight tremor began to shake her right hand. The pressure was suffocating, but she closed her eyes and took a slow, deep breath. She remembered the words of her late husband, who had always told her that true marksmanship came from the heart, not just the hands.

She stepped up to the line and raised her vintage pistol. The crowd held its collective breath. Mildred opened her eyes, focused on the distant target, and pulled the trigger five times in rapid succession. The deafening reports faded, leaving a tense silence in the room.

As the target carrier brought the sheet forward, Landon laughed. There was only one visible hole on the paper. He assumed she had missed the other four shots completely under pressure.

"It looks like age finally caught up to you, grandma," Landon jeered.

But Amos stepped forward, pulling out a magnifying glass to inspect the target. His jaw dropped in absolute disbelief. He looked up at the crowd, his voice shaking with emotion.

"She didn't miss," Amos announced. "All five bullets went through the exact same microscopic hole in the dead center. It is a perfect score!"

The room erupted into cheers and applause. Richard's face turned pale as he realized he had just saved the range he wanted to destroy. Landon stood frozen, utterly humiliated by the woman he had mocked. Mildred calmly packed her gear into her old leather bag. She zipped it up, looked Landon dead in the eye, and smiled.

"Class is dismissed, young man," Mildred said softly.

She walked out of the range into the afternoon sun, her head held high, knowing that her legacy—and the home of the sport she loved—was safe forever.
