Previously: When a wealthy customer tried to humiliate Victoria and throw her out of an elite designer boutique, she had no idea who she was actually dealing with.

The Queen's Gambit

Victoria walked slowly toward her desk, ignoring Julian's triumphant grin. She picked up the legal documents and flipped through the pages. Her eyes scanned the complex web of shell companies they had used to acquire the shares. Suddenly, her eyes locked onto the signature page of the primary holding company, 'Aura Enterprises.' A cold, brilliant smile spread across Victoria's face.

"You both spent so much time planning this,"
Victoria said softly, looking up at her ex-husband.
"But you forgot one very important detail. Five years ago, when we divorced, the settlement decree clearly stated that any assets, companies, or entities created or funded by you using capital from our marriage would automatically revert to my sole ownership."
Julian's smile faltered. Victoria turned to her chief legal officer.
"Aura Enterprises was funded by the accounts Julian hid in the Cayman Islands during our marriage, wasn't it?"
The lawyer quickly checked his tablet, his eyes lighting up.
"Yes, Victoria. The forensic audit matches perfectly. The funds used to buy these shares belong to you."

Chloe gasped, turning to Julian in panic.

"What is she talking about? Julian, do something!"
But Julian had turned completely pale. He realized that by trying to take over her company, he had handed her the evidence of his hidden assets, effectively transferring the forty percent share control directly back to Victoria.
"Which means,"
Victoria continued, leaning over her desk,
"I now own ninety percent of this company. And as for you two, my legal team is filing fraud and theft charges within the hour."

Security officers entered the room, escorting a weeping Chloe and a shattered Julian out of the building. Victoria sat back in her chair, adjusting her crimson sleeves. True power isn't about loud voices or expensive dresses; it is about patience, intelligence, and knowing that the truth will always find a way to reclaim what is yours.

The End
