Previously: Pregnant and starving, Hannah was eating leftovers at a fast-food joint. When a kind stranger bought her a warm meal, she had no idea their lives were already intertwined.

Michael didn't hesitate. He lifted Hannah into his arms and carried her to his car, leaving a furious Vanessa screaming on the sidewalk. He drove frantically to the nearest hospital, his heart pounding with a fear he hadn't felt in years. He refused to leave the waiting room, even when Vanessa called to deliver an ultimatum: "If you stay with her, we are finished." Michael simply hung up the phone. He knew where he belonged.

A New Beginning

Hours later, the doctor emerged with good news. Hannah and her baby were stable; the pain had been caused by severe stress and malnutrition. When Hannah finally opened her eyes, she found Michael sitting by her bedside, holding her hand just like he used to.

"You're safe now, Hannah,"
he whispered, his eyes shining with tears.
"I'm not letting you go again."

Over the next few weeks, Michael proved his words. He hired a top-tier legal team to handle Marcus. When Marcus’s lawyers tried to intimidate Hannah, Michael’s team shut them down completely, securing a restraining order and full custody for Hannah, along with a substantial alimony settlement. Marcus vanished from her life, powerless against Michael's resources and determination.

As Hannah’s health restored, she and Michael slowly rebuilt the bond they had lost. He helped her move into a beautiful, quiet apartment and prepared a nursery for her baby girl. One evening, as they sat together watching the sunset, Michael looked at her with the same love he had shown her years ago.

"I thought I lost you forever,"
he said softly.
"But helping you that night reminded me of what truly matters."

Hannah smiled, placing his hand onto her moving belly. She realized that sometimes, the worst moments of our lives are simply detours leading us back to exactly where we are meant to be.
