The Day My Husband's Deceased First Wife Walked Into Our Mansion Foyer
Previously: When a mysterious woman interrupted our anniversary celebration in our grand foyer, I expected an intruder. Instead, she revealed a dark secret that shattered my perfect marriage forever.
The Dark Truth Revealed
The silence in the foyer was suffocating. I looked between Julian and the mysterious woman, my mind struggling to process the impossible. "Clara?" Julian gasped, his voice cracking. He tried to compose himself, stepping in front of me defensively.
"Get out of my house! You're an impostor! I will call the police!"he shouted, his usual calm demeanor completely vanishing into raw panic.
Clara did not flinch. Instead, she reached into her coat and pulled out a thick envelope, tossing it onto the floor between us.
"Please, call them, Julian,"she challenged.
"Let them see what you did."

Driven by an overwhelming instinct, I bent down and snatched the envelope before Julian could reach it. Inside were official documents from a private psychiatric facility in Oregon. My heart hammered against my ribs as I read the name of the patient: Clara Vance. But it was the signature at the bottom that made my stomach turn. It was Julian's handwriting, authorizing her involuntary, indefinite commitment just weeks before he met me.
"He didn't lose me in a fire, Victoria,"Clara said, tears spilling over her pale cheeks.
"He drugged me, forged medical records, and had me locked away in an asylum so he could claim my family's inheritance and build this empire. He manufactured my death."
Julian grabbed my arm, his grip painfully tight.
"She's lying! She's mentally unstable and obsessed with my wealth!"he pleaded, his eyes desperate. But the sheer panic in his voice betrayed him. Suddenly, headlights swept across the foyer walls. Two large men in dark suits, Julian's private security detail, stepped out of a black SUV and walked toward the entrance. Julian's face twisted into a cruel, threatening smirk.
"Give me the papers, Victoria,"he whispered.
"Or lose everything we've built."
