They Thought the Tiny New Inmate Was Easy Prey Until the Giant Cornered Her
Previously: When a towering prison kingpin tried to break the newest female inmate in the yard, he didn't expect her to stand her ground—or reveal a secret that would change everything.
Silas scrambled to his feet, his face red with humiliation and fury. He spat onto the dusty concrete, his eyes wide with disbelief. Never in his life had anyone, let alone a woman half his size, put him on his back. With a low growl, he gestured to his closest allies. Four massive inmates immediately stepped forward, surrounding Clara and cutting off any chance of escape.
The Secret Revealed
Clara backed up slightly until her shoulders touched the hot barbed-wire fence. She knew she couldn't fight five of them at once, but she remained remarkably calm. Her eyes shifted to a faded military tattoo on the side of Silas's neck—a specific crest of a fallen soldier. She recognized it instantly. It was the same crest her late father had worn, and it connected Silas to a past he thought he had left behind.

"If you touch me, Silas," Clara said, her voice remarkably steady, "you'll never find out what really happened to your brother, Leo."
Silas froze. The aggressive posture vanished from his massive frame, replaced by a look of sheer shock. Leo had been his younger brother, who had supposedly died in a tragic accident years ago. It was the wound Silas had never been able to heal.
"What did you say about Leo?" Silas whispered, his voice trembling with a mixture of grief and sudden rage.
"He didn't die in an accident, Silas," Clara replied quickly. "He was framed. And the man who ordered his silence is the very Warden who runs this facility."
Before Silas could process the devastating news, the heavy iron gates of the yard slammed open. A squad of guards in full riot gear marched in, their batons drawn. Leading them was Warden Vance, a cold smile playing on his lips. He had been watching from the tower, and he wanted Clara silenced before she could say another word.
"Break it up!" Warden Vance barked. "Take the girl to solitary confinement!"
