Previously: When Hannah playfully threw her bridesmaid bouquet at the wedding coordinator, she didn't expect a hidden keycard to fall out—or to uncover her sister's devastating secret right before the ceremony.

The Secrets in the Bridal Suite

I stared at the keycard in disbelief, my fingers trembling as I picked it up. Daniel’s playful terror had vanished, replaced by a pale, breathless panic. He reached out to grab it, but I stepped back, my heart hammering against my ribs.

"Hannah, please,"
he whispered, his voice cracking.
"Don't say anything. It's not what it looks like."

I didn't answer. I turned and marched up the chapel steps, past the confused bridesmaids, and straight into the private bridal suite. Clara was sitting in front of the vanity mirror, her stunning white gown draped around her. When she saw the look on my face, and the keycard in my hand, her expression shattered.

I locked the door.

"What is this, Clara?"
I demanded, holding up the note.
"Are you having an affair with the wedding coordinator on your own wedding day?"

Clara burst into tears, burying her face in her hands.

"No! It's not Daniel, I swear!"
she sobbed.
"Then who is in Room 402?"
I yelled, desperate for an explanation. Clara grabbed my wrists, her grip desperate and tight.
"It's Marcus's father, Richard. He forced me, Hannah! He found out about my past financial mistakes and threatened to ruin my life if I didn't comply with his demands!"

Before I could process the horror of her words, the suite door unlocked from the outside. Richard himself stepped into the room, a cold, arrogant smile playing on his lips. He looked at the keycard, then at my tear-stained sister.

"Well, it seems our little secret is out,"
Richard said smoothly, closing the door behind him. He tossed a thick manila folder onto the table.
"But before you play the hero, Hannah, you should look inside. Your sister isn't the victim here. She's been stealing from my son's trust fund for months."
