When the Yard's Most Feared Inmate Tried to Break Me, My Secret Silenced Him
Previously: Locked in a maximum-security prison for a crime she didn't commit, Clara faced Silas, the yard's most ruthless giant. Everyone expected her to break, but she held the ultimate card.
The Whisper that Shook a Giant
As the cheers of the inmates faded into a tense murmur, Silas leaned down, his massive frame casting a dark shadow over Clara. He expected her to be trembling, but as he got closer, he realized her eyes held a dangerous confidence. Before he could strike, Clara leaned in, her voice dropping to a sharp whisper that was meant for his ears alone.
"I know about the offshore account in Panama, Silas. And I know who really killed your brother."
Silas froze instantly. The mocking grin vanished from his face, replaced by a sudden, pale mask of shock. The giant who had just been roaring like a beast looked as though he had been struck by lightning. His massive shoulders slumped slightly as he stared at her, his eyes wide with a mixture of rage and disbelief. He grabbed the collar of her tank top, pulling her close, his knuckles turning white.

"If you're lying to me, girl, I'll snap your neck right here," he hissed, his voice trembling with suppressed emotion.
Clara didn't blink. "The Warden told you your brother died in a gang fight," she whispered back, keeping her voice incredibly steady. "But I was an undercover detective before they framed me. I saw the security logs. The Warden's guards locked your brother in that burning cell on purpose. I have the encrypted files to prove it."
Before Silas could process the devastating truth, the heavy iron gates of the yard creaked open. Warden Vance stepped out, flanked by four heavily armed tactical guards. The Warden had a smug, cruel smile on his face as he surveyed the scene. He had framed Clara to protect his own corrupt empire, and he wanted her silenced permanently.
"Is there a problem out here, Silas?" the Warden called out, his hand drifting toward his holster. "Finish it. Or do my guards need to handle both of you?"
