The Restroom Trap

The cold, sterile tiles of the Oakridge High girls' restroom smelled of cheap lavender bleach and damp paper towels. Sienna was pinned against the wall, her arms held tightly by Chloe and Harper, Christine’s loyal shadows. Christine, the undisputed queen bee of the senior class, stepped forward, a smirk playing on her lips. In her right hand, she held a tube of crimson lipstick like a weapon, its tip twisted out like a drop of fresh blood.

With agonizing slowness, Christine pressed the red wax against Sienna's forehead. She dragged it across her skin, drawing a crude mark.

"Now everyone will know what you are,"

Christine whispered, her breath smelling of peppermint and malice.

Sienna kept her eyes closed, her breathing steady. She wasn't trembling from fear; she was centering herself. Sienna’s eyes snapped open, burning with a quiet intensity. With an explosive spin, she broke free from Chloe and Harper's grip, utilizing their own leverage against them. In a blur of motion, she delivered a sweeping kick that sent Chloe crashing into the porcelain sinks. Harper lunged in panic, but Sienna effortlessly blocked her arm, redirecting her momentum to throw her onto the tiled floor. Christine gasped, stepping back, but Sienna was already there. A swift, non-lethal strike to Christine's shoulder sent her sprawling next to her friends.

The restroom fell dead silent, save for the heavy breathing of the three defeated bullies. Sienna stood defiantly over them, her dark hair slightly disheveled but her expression completely calm. She slowly knelt beside a dazed Christine, who was clutching her shoulder in disbelief.

Sienna picked up the dropped lipstick from the floor. With a steady hand, she drew a sharp, crimson cross on Christine's forehead.

"You wrote the wrong name,"

Sienna said coldly, her voice echoing off the tiled walls before she turned and walked out.
