Sarah knew from diner gossip that Lily hadn't spoken a single word since a devastating car accident two years ago—the same accident that had claimed her mother’s life.

When Mark stepped away to take an urgent business call, Lily struggled to reach a dropped crayon. Without hesitation, Sarah knelt beside the wheelchair. "Let me help you, okay?" she said gently, her voice full of genuine warmth.
