Chaos at the Altar

The grand cathedral was supposed to be the backdrop for the happiest day of my life. The pews were packed with family, the lilies smelled sweet, and my beautiful fiancée, Lauren, looked like an angel in her tiered white gown. But beneath the gorgeous veil and the platinum-blonde curls lay a storm that was about to obliterate our perfect wedding day in a matter of seconds.

It started without warning. Right as the priest asked if anyone objected, Lauren turned. Her face contorted with rage, and she swung her heavy bridal bouquet directly into my face. Petals exploded around us like confetti. Before I could blink, she whipped around and struck her maid of honor, Danielle, who stood there in a sage green dress. The sheer physical violence of the moment stunned the congregation into silence, but Danielle wasn't one to back down.

"You think you can ruin me?" Lauren screamed, swinging again.

But Danielle was faster. She ducked, grabbed Lauren around the waist, and executed a dramatic, textbook wrestling-style body slam, sending both of them crashing onto the red carpet. The altar had officially turned into a ring. I didn't hesitate. I jumped in, locking Lauren in a tight headlock and giving her a rough, chaotic noogie, completely messing up her expensive bridal hair. As she squirmed, I broke free, sprinted down the aisle, and launched into a crazy flying kick toward the exit, while our friends and family cheered wildly. To any outsider, it looked like a viral wedding fail. In reality, it was the climax of a desperate trap.
