A Strange Miracle in the Penthouse

The glittering lights of the Manhattan skyline did little to warm the cold, exclusive atmosphere of the high-end penthouse eatery. Walter sat in his sleek, multi-million-dollar robotic wheelchair, his tailored blue suit a stark contrast to his lifeless legs. Beside him stood Evelyn, draped in a sparkling silver dress, sipping her champagne with an air of effortless superiority. They were the epitome of New York's elite. But the illusion of perfect luxury shattered when a young man stepped out of the shadows.

He was dirty-faced, his hair matted, and his ragged grey jacket looked as though it had survived years on the harsh streets. His name was Dylan. He walked straight toward Walter's table, ignoring the security guards who were already moving to intercept him. Walter raised a hand, pausing the guards, amused by the sheer audacity of the intruder.

"Sir," Dylan said, his voice steady despite his disheveled appearance.

Walter took a slow sip of his wine, looking the young man up and down with a mix of curiosity and disdain.

"You?" Walter replied dryly.

Dylan didn't flinch. He looked directly into the older man's eyes and made an impossible claim.

"I can fix your leg," Dylan said.

A sharp, mocking laugh echoed from Evelyn. She shook her head, looking at Dylan as if he were a court jester. But Walter merely smiled, intrigued by the delusion.

"How long will that take?" Walter asked, his voice dripping with amusement.
"Just a few seconds," Dylan answered calmly.

Walter chuckled. "I'll give you a million dollars if you can make me feel my feet." He gestured to his bare foot resting on the high-tech footrest. Dylan knelt down. His dirty hands hovered over Walter's pale, unmoving skin.

"Count with me. One..." Dylan said softly, pressing his fingers against a specific nerve cluster.

Walter's amused expression instantly froze. "This is ridiculous. What?" he stammered, but before he could pull away, Dylan's grip tightened slightly.

"Two," Dylan whispered.

A sudden, violent gasp escaped Walter's lips. For the first time in ten years, a wave of scorching heat surged through his paralyzed limb.
