The outdoor courtyard of the Grand Plaza Hotel was bathed in the warm, ambient glow of twinkling fairy lights. Crystal champagne flutes clinked, and the soft murmur of high-society laughter filled the crisp autumn air. Charles, a prominent real estate developer dressed in a tailored charcoal suit, stood at the center of attention. But the elegant atmosphere was suddenly disrupted when a young woman in tattered, faded clothes was spotted sitting on the cold stone floor near the grand piano. She looked shivering, out of place, and utterly exhausted.

A wealthy guest scoffed, gesturing toward the grand piano in the corner.

"Play something for it. That's enough,"

he laughed, throwing a silver coin at her feet. Charles felt a sudden, inexplicable tightening in his chest as he looked down at the young woman. There was something hauntingly familiar in her downcast eyes. Driven by an impulse he couldn't explain, Charles stepped forward, extended his hand, and asked,

"Can you play?"

Sophia looked up, her gaze locking onto his with an intensity that made him gasp. She took his hand, her grip surprisingly firm as she stood up.

"I never forgot,"

she whispered, her voice trembling. She walked over to the grand piano, her dirty fingers resting gently on the pristine ivory keys. When she pressed the first chord, a deep, melancholic melody echoed through the courtyard, silencing the whispering crowd. It was a beautiful, heartbreaking song.

Charles felt his breath catch. He leaned closer to the piano, his face pale with shock.

"Who taught you that song?"

he demanded, his voice barely a whisper. Sophia looked up, tears streaming down her dirty cheeks.

"My mom,"

she said. Charles's eyes widened in horror.

"Wait... you're..."

he stammered. Sophia’s eyes burned with years of pain as she delivered the final blow:
