A Desperate Cry at Sunset

The engine of Garrett’s heavy vintage motorcycle roared as he cruised through the quiet, sun-drenched suburban streets. The sky was painted in deep hues of amber and violet, a peaceful backdrop to what should have been a quiet evening. But as Garrett turned the corner onto an ordinary driveway, the idyllic scene shattered. A young Caucasian boy, Tyler, was kneeling on the cold asphalt, tears streaming down his dusty face. His shoulders shook with violent, uncontrollable sobs.

Without a second thought, Garrett skidded his bike to a halt, the tires screeching against the pavement. He leaped off the machine before the kickstand even touched the ground. Grabbing the boy’s trembling shoulders, Garrett looked into his panicked eyes.

"Please, please help my mom!" Tyler begged, his voice cracking with sheer terror.

Garrett’s protective instincts flared. "Stay behind me," he commanded, his voice a steady anchor in the boy's storm. He charged toward the front door of the house. Before he could reach the handle, the door swung open. Steven, a clean-cut man in a beige shirt, blocked the entrance, his face contorted in anger.

"What the hell do you want?" Steven yelled, trying to intimidate the towering biker.

Garrett didn't waste words. With a powerful shove, he pushed past Steven, storming into the dim, suffocating hallway. He could hear muffled weeping from the back of the house. "Sit down!" Garrett barked at Steven, who was recovering from the shove. Garrett kicked open the bathroom door to find a terrified woman, Rachel, weeping on the tiled floor, her arms wrapped protectively around herself. Garrett knelt beside her, his tough exterior softening. "Easy, I got you," he whispered, gently helping her up. Outside, Tyler rushed to hug his mother, while Garrett stood like a shield, staring Steven down. "Try it again," Garrett warned, his eyes cold as steel.

Garrett warned, his eyes cold as steel.
