A Shocking Encounter in the Grass

The afternoon sky was heavy with gray, overcast clouds as the members of the Iron Wolves motorcycle club gathered in a sprawling, grassy field just outside the county line. The air was thick with the scent of motor oil, leather, and damp earth. Among them stood Silas, a rugged, middle-aged biker with a silver-streaked beard and a face etched with the hardships of a life lived on the road. For Silas, the club was his only family—or so he had believed until that fateful afternoon.

A sudden rustling in the tall grass drew the attention of several bikers. Out of the brush ran a small, disheveled boy. He couldn't have been more than eight years old, wearing a faded denim vest that swallowed his tiny frame. In his haste, the boy tripped, tumbling onto the rough turf. He didn't cry out in pain; instead, he scrambled to his feet, clutching a small object tightly to his chest as if it were his most precious possession. He ran straight toward Silas, his eyes wide with desperate hope.

"Please sir, buy it," the boy pleaded, holding out a crudely carved wooden motorcycle.

Silas knelt down, his heavy leather vest creaking as he met the boy's tear-stained gaze. He gently took the toy, and his heart skipped a beat. The craftsmanship was unmistakable. It was carved from dark mahogany, featuring a highly specific engine pattern Silas had only seen once before. He looked up, his voice barely a whisper.

"Who made this?" Silas asked, his eyes scanning the boy's face.
"My dad," Danny sobbed, wiping his eyes with a dirty sleeve.

Silas stared deeper, noticing the striking emerald-green eyes that mirrored Clara, the woman he had lost years ago. "What's his name?" Silas pressed, his heart hammering against his ribs.

"He said if he died, I should find the biker who is my father," the boy cried, his lips trembling.
