A Smug Champion Mocked an Elderly Woman, Until He Saw Her Real Name
The Legend in the Windbreaker
The indoor shooting range at the Westside Athletic Club was bathed in harsh, clinical fluorescent light. It was a place dominated by young, hungry athletes, none more arrogant than twenty-seven-year-old Lenny. Dressed in a pristine white sports tee, Lenny was the reigning local champion, and he made sure everyone knew it. When seventy-year-old Mona walked in, wearing a faded blue windbreaker and sporting a neat grey bob, Lenny couldn't help but smirk.
"This is not a retirement club, lady," Lenny sneered, his voice echoing off the concrete walls.
His entourage chuckled, expecting the elderly woman to blush and leave. Instead, Mona remained entirely unfazed. Her expression was like carved granite. She walked calmly to the counter and slid her ID card across to Adrian, the sixty-three-year-old official who had run the range for decades.

Without waiting for a response, Mona stepped up to lane four. She drew a standard-issue pistol from her side with a fluid, practiced motion that defied her age. Before anyone could laugh, she fired. Bang! Bang! Bang! Five rapid shots tore through the air. When the target rolled back, the crowd gasped. Every single bullet had passed through the exact center of the bullseye, leaving one ragged hole.
"Impossible!" an onlooker whispered in sheer disbelief.
Mona turned her head slightly, her eyes locking onto Lenny's stunned face. "I came here to compete," she said, her voice steady and cold.
Meanwhile, behind the counter, Adrian stared at the registration form Mona had signed. His hands began to shake. He lowered his glasses, his eyes wide with a mixture of awe and fear. He whispered under his breath,
"Wait... that name. It can't be."
”that name. It can't be."
